Our Logo
Our logo was designed around our strength of 'weaving people together' by Wellington designer, Kimi Moana Whiting.
The word 'mana' is usually associated with a chiefly status. The word 'rangatira' (to be of chieftainship, high rank, noble, esteemed,) goes hand in hand with that.When you break down the word 'rangatira' you get ranga (weaving) and tira (group), together forming the overarching idea of 'weaving people together'.
The weaving style Kimi depicted is the 'toki' style. The toki technique is used across the Pacific and often for items with great significance or to infer significance to things.
